The spanish-french music composer and conductor Albert Alcaraz studied Piano, Violin, Singing and Conducting at the Conservatories of Alicante, Murcia, Valencia, and Music Education and History. He obtained the 'Master of Arts in Conducting' at the University of Geneva where he studied with Laurent Gay and Celso Antunes and later his PhD in Music. He expands his training in various international courses with teachers as Tom Krause, Elena Obratszova, Marimí del Pozo, Isabel Penagos, José Peris, Andrew Parrot, Ton Koopman, Emmanuel Krivine, Marcus Creed, Michel Corboz… and he works frequently with Nir Kabaretti, Ottavio Dantone, Gianluca Capuano, Yves Abel, Stefano Ranzani, Michail Jurowski, Jesús López-Cobos, Conxita García, Michael Schøndwand, Josep Pons, Riccardo Mutti, Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta…

He frequently acts as a judge in various contests and competitions or guest conductor of orchestras and choirs. He also teaches at various seminars and workshops (Santander, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia, Badajoz, Albacete, Bilbao, Huesca, Oviedo, Valladolid, Malaga, Granada, Madrid, Segovia, Valencia, Lyon, Paris, Montpellier, Toulouse, Rome, Naples, London, Dublin, Seoul, Busan…) and his work has been broadcast by media such as Spanish TV, Spanish National Radio, Channel 9, TV3, Canal Sur, ETB, Radio France, Art, RTE (Ireland), BBC, Latvijas Radio, Radio Swiss Classic ...

Currently, he is the principal conductor of Capilla Antigua & Orquesta Barroca de Murcia and Les Plaisirs du Roi.


Author of several books and publications, he has recording several Cd's.
